This Privacy Policy explains how Daytiko sp. z o. o. ("we", "us", "Owner") handles your information when you use the Daytiko mobile application ("Service"), available on iOS and Android. Some features described below are currently available only on specific platforms; this is noted where applicable.
Your Privacy Matters
Daytiko is designed with your privacy in mind. Your personal journal entries, mood data, photos, videos, and audio recordings are stored locally on your device by default. We do not have access to this content.
Data We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary to provide the app's functionality:
- Local Data: Journal entries, mood logs, photos, videos, and audio recordings are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this content.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage data (crash reports, feature usage statistics) to improve the app experience. This data cannot identify you personally.
- Account Information Android only
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information for authentication purposes. Sign-in is not available in the iOS version.
Google Drive Storage (Optional) Android only
This feature is currently available on Android only. If you choose to enable Google Drive backup:
- Your data is stored in your personal Google Drive account
- We access Google Drive only via your explicit authorization (OAuth)
- Access is revocable at any time in your Google Account settings
- We do not host, access, review, or moderate your content
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google
We cannot restore deleted content or decrypt files from your Google account.
Voice Transcription Android only
This feature is currently available on Android only. When you use the voice transcription feature:
- Your audio is securely sent to OpenAI's servers for processing
- Audio is encrypted during transmission
- According to OpenAI's API usage policy, your data is not stored and is not used to train models
- No one can access your audio after transcription is complete
Data Security
- PIN code and biometric lock options to protect app access
- Encrypted local backups
- No server-side storage of your journal data
- All communications encrypted with TLS
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under applicable law, you may have rights including:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to certain processing

When you delete content in the app, we remove it from Daytiko's access. Files in your Google Drive remain governed by Google's policies and your settings.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the minimum age of digital consent in their country (typically 13–16). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store: Distribution on iOS handled by Apple, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
- Google Drive (Android only): Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
- Google Play (Android only): Distribution and billing handled by Google Play
- OpenAI (Android only): Voice transcription subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy
- Firebase Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be available in the app and on our website.
