The fastest way to reach us for anything: help with the app, billing questions, bug reports, feature ideas.
support@daytiko.com We reply within 7 business days.Reporting a bug? Three details make it ten times faster to fix: your phone model, its OS version, and what you expected to happen versus what actually happened. The app version helps too, if you know it. Screenshots are gold — just make sure they don’t show anything from your journal you’d rather keep private.
Answers
Frequently asked questions
Privacy & your data
Who can read my journal entries?
Only you. Your entries live on your device — there is no feed, no followers, and no server of ours holding your journal. We cannot read your entries, and the optional Google Drive sync goes to your own Drive account, not to us. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Does Daytiko work offline?
Yes, fully. You can write, record and breathe with no connection at all, and no account is required. The internet is only needed for optional things like syncing to your own Google Drive.
How do I lock the app?
Turn on the app lock in Daytiko’s settings and the whole journal sits behind your face unlock or a PIN. Anyone who picks up your phone sees a lock screen, not your entries.
Is “Write It & Burn It” really never saved?
Really. What you write in a burn session is never written to storage, never syncs and cannot be recovered afterwards — not by you, and not by us. It exists only on the screen, until it doesn’t.
How do I back up my journal or move it to a new phone?
Two ways: export a password-protected encrypted backup from the app and keep the file wherever you like, or turn on sync to your own Google Drive. On the new phone, install Daytiko and import the backup or sign in to the same Drive.
Keep your backup password safe. The backup is encrypted with it, and we cannot decrypt or recover it for you — that’s the point of the encryption.
How do I delete my data?
Your journal lives on your device, so deleting entries in the app — or uninstalling the app — removes the local data. If you used Google Drive sync, you can also delete the backup files in your Drive and revoke Daytiko’s access under Google Account → Security → Third-party access.
Step-by-step instructions are on the data & account deletion page.
Premium & billing
What is free, and what does Premium add?
All core journaling is free with no time limit: entries by voice, video, text or a one-tap mood, daily prompts, and more. Premium unlocks the extras and comes as a monthly or yearly subscription (with a trial where offered) or one-time purchases — the exact price is always shown in the store before you pay.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the store you bought them in, not inside Daytiko:
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Daytiko.
Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the paid period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them. On the App Store, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Google Play, use your order history or Google Play support. If you get stuck, email us and we’ll point you the right way.
I paid for Premium but the app doesn’t show it. What now?
Premium is tied to the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. Make sure the device is signed in with that same account, then use the app’s restore purchases option. If it still doesn’t appear, email us with the store receipt and we’ll sort it out.
Troubleshooting
I can’t unlock the app. Can you help?
The app lock is enforced on your device itself — there is no master key on our side, and we cannot unlock your journal remotely. That’s exactly what keeps it private. If you’re locked out, write to us and we’ll go through the options for your situation together.
Is Daytiko available on iPhone?
Yes — Daytiko is made for both iPhone and Android. The newest iPhone builds sometimes land in our free TestFlight beta first, so if you want tomorrow’s features today, the beta is the fastest way in.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Email support@daytiko.com. For bugs, include your phone model, its OS version, the app version if you know it, and what you expected versus what happened. Feature ideas are just as welcome — a lot of what’s in Daytiko started as someone’s email.
Still stuck?
Tell us what’s going on — in your own words, in any language. We’ll figure it out from there.
